Applying for a personal pension

At retirement age, depending on their situation, employees can apply to all pension bodies for a pension in order to receive income.

Early retirement

  • Permanent disability;
  • Exposure to asbestos during their working life.

Taking account of special pension schemes

As regards special schemes, some have been abolished following the pension reform:

  • Those of the Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens (RATP).
  • Those of the electricity and gas industries (IEG).
  • Clerks and employees of notaries (CRPCEN).
  • Those of the Banque de France.

However, this only applies to people recruited from 1 January.er September 2023, who will join the general scheme and the supplementary scheme for their activity

How do you go about it?

    • Simplified connection with FranceConnect
      The advantage of applying online is that you only have to make a single pension application for all the basic and supplementary schemes.
      There are four stages in the application process,
      • I connect to my personal space via FranceConnect.
      • I'm applying for my pension under all my schemes.
      • I complete and sign the pension application form.
      • I enclose the supporting documents requested.
    • Login without FranceConnect with your Social Security number and password.
      It does not give you access to all services, but to a limited range.
  • By post to all the various pension bodies.

Once these steps have been completed, an adviser from each scheme will examine your file, contact you if necessary and determine your pension entitlement.

Documents to be provided :

Depending on the applicant's situation and the funds, the documents to be produced when applying for a pension are generally as follows:

  • Photocopy of pay slips for the last year of employment.
  • Photocopy of the applicant's identity document.
  • Photocopy of latest tax assessment.
  • Bank details (RIB).
  • Photocopy of the family record book, if the applicant has children.
  • Copies of certificates from France Travail (formerly Pôle emploi) for periods of unemployment

Deadlines

You must apply for retirement between 4 and 5 months before the desired retirement date.
