The town of Montataire publishes the municipal newspaper "Vivre!" every two months, distributed to every resident. In addition, the leaflet "L'Entre-Deux!" is also distributed, offering news, a diary, a retrospective in pictures, portraits and much more.

Nothing can ever justify the death of a human being for his or her ideas, whatever they may be; no tragedy of this nature should be the object of shameful political recuperation, unworthy of our free democratic life.
Together, let's preserve the spirit of togetherness, solidarity and humanism that drives us.

The 2026 municipal budget will be voted on at the municipal council meeting on 02/03/2026. It is in line with the budget guidelines presented at the budget orientation debate (DOB) on 26/01/2026. It amounts to 38.73 million euros.
Despite national constraints and stagnating revenues, we are maintaining our offer of public services to the population, our support for community life and a high level of investment expenditure of €7.8 million for structural and local works.
Net self-financing (the difference between operating revenue and expenditure) amounted to €840,119.
The municipal tax rates for principal residences remain unchanged. The last increase was in 2017.
The town's debt is under control. Outstanding debt at 01/01/2026 was €5,616,023.81, with annual repayments (principal and interest) of €731,500.58. The debt ratio is €365 per inhabitant, compared with an average of €816 for towns of the same size.

My last mandate in Montataire
You should never cling to a position like some elected representatives who have long since become professional politicians. Cumulating mandates is never a good thing, because you lose touch with the residents and their priorities.
The example of closure of the allée des Marronniers for over 13 months is a very good example: nothing has been done to reduce the permanent traffic jams! And yet it would have been easy to reverse the direction of traffic on certain streets to avoid congestion on Avenue Guy Moquet, Rue de Condé, Avenue de la Libération, and so on. It would also have been possible to use the side road running alongside Akzo and Arcelor to offer residents an alternative, but nothing was done...
Since the collapse of the cliff at Thiverny, there have been even more traffic jams in the town centre, with a number of motorists...
Personally, I don't hold any mandates because I don't want to be out of touch with reality.
I have been elected since 1995 and have decided not to stand for re-election, but I will remain a member of several Montataire associations.

As you know, on 15 and 22 March 2026 there will be municipal elections in France to elect municipal and community councillors. I would like to express my sincere thanks to you, the residents of Montataire, for having enabled us, thanks to your votes, to sit on our town's municipal council for 6 years, and my gratitude to the members of the “Unis Pour le Changement en 2020” list, led under difficult conditions by Mrs Marie Christine Salmona.
Since I took office in September 2022, I have attended 26 Town Council meetings. Many thanks to the administrative staff, the agents and all the staff who work to improve relations for the residents of our town and our conurbation. In particular, I would like to thank the entire municipal team, led by Mr Jean Pierre Bosino, for unanimously voting on 15 December 2025 in favour of the motion in support of the members of the P.A.I.G.C. detained by the military in Guinea Bissau. I would also like to inform you that the drafting of our motion is now supported by the European Union, the African Union, the UN, ECOWAS, etc.
The people's vote must be respected, and democracy must be defended throughout the world.
The fight goes on ...
