Practical information

JADE

Created in 1997, the aim of the Jeunesse, Activités et Développement Éducatif (JADE) association is to meet the needs of the town's young residents, while encouraging them to become independent, take responsibility and develop socially.

To achieve this, the association is organised into three sectors:

Home

Helps identify the needs of young people and provide guidance.

Listening point

Where a psycho-educational team offers individual or group listening sessions.

Entertainment

Offers a range of activities throughout the year, promoting diversity and citizenship.

A daily welcome

JADE offers a free service open to all. It directs young people to the association's services according to their needs, while providing information on employment, training and all the youth facilities in the area.

A photocopier/printer and a computer room are available free of charge for young people to use for all their needs.

Access to activities and breaks

JADE offers weekly activities such as futsal, bringing together over a hundred youngsters.

On a more occasional basis, it organises stays during the school holidays, focusing on the autonomy and empowerment of participants through group work. The young people take it in turns to carry out daily tasks such as preparing meals and cleaning. Their days are punctuated by discovery activities to help them acclimatise to their new environment.

It's a real opportunity to go on holiday, because our parents don't have the money to pay for such trips. So I discovered the mountains and did activities like rafting and caving. I have some excellent memories "
