Waste collection

The Christmas tree collection initially scheduled for 7 January has been postponed until Wednesday 14 January 2026.
 Please put out your Christmas trees the day before, after 7pm on Tuesday 13 January, to keep the pavements clear until the new collection date.
The trees collected will then be recycled.
Used artificial Christmas trees can be taken out on the same day as your household rubbish is collected.

Food waste

How can you take part?

Residents of Montataire can collect their bio-bins at main town hall and Technical Services Department during normal opening hours. It is essential for facilitating the sorting of food waste.

Why sort your food waste?

Sorting food waste is a practical and effective way of reducing the amount of waste incinerated. It produces natural compost, which can be used in agriculture and gardening, as well as biogas, a renewable source of energy.

Waste collection centres

Access is free for all individuals residing within the Creil Sud Oise Urban Community.

access card is available free of charge to residents of the SMDO (one card per household) and gives access to all the waste collection centres in the Verdi network.
To obtain it, all you have to do is complete the application form on the SMDO website.

Where does the waste go?

They are taken to the Villers-Saint-Paul recovery centre where 100 % of plastic packaging is recycled. They are then reprocessed by the Syndicat mixte du département de l'Oise (SMDO) to continue the sorting process.
