Waste collection
Refuse collection (household waste, yellow bins, green waste and bulky items) is carried out by the Agglomération Creil Sud Oise : creilsudoise.fr/my-daily/waste/
Food waste
How can you take part?
While waiting for the bins to be installed, the residents of Montataire can start preparing by collecting their bio-buckets, which are essential for sorting food waste. Sorting ambassadors will be on hand to distribute them at the following office hours:
- Monday 2nd June from 8.30am to 12pm at the main town hall
- Friday 6 June from 8.30am to 12pm at theEspace Huberte d'Hoker
Beyond these dates, a permanence will be ensured in main town hall and Technical Services Department during normal opening hours so that everyone can get their own bio-bucket.
Why sort your food waste?
Sorting food waste is a practical and effective way of reducing the amount of waste incinerated. It produces natural compost, which can be used in agriculture and gardening, as well as biogas, a renewable source of energy.

Where does the waste go?
They are taken to the Villers-Saint-Paul recovery centre where 100 % of plastic packaging is recycled. They are then reprocessed by the Syndicat mixte du département de l'Oise (SMDO) to continue the sorting process. Your waste can then become secondary raw materials, thermal, electrical and organic energy...
