La Halle Perret
With its architecture dating back to 1919, the city wanted to preserve this heritage by renovating the right wing of the building. Since its inauguration in January 2018, Halle Perret has won the 2019 European Architecture and Contracting Award (AMO).
"The cultural centre is a perfect illustration of this ability to make architecture the transposition of the human, political and historical exchanges on which it is based. From an area devastated by the industrial and metallurgical crisis to a cultural centre, the Halle Perret is an exemplary translation through its collaborative approach. This project offers an enriched interpretation of depreciated remains".
The Halle Perret symbolises the continuity between local industrial history and culture. The building is listed in the Hauts-de-France general inventory of cultural heritage. Its renovation received financial support from the Conseil départemental de l'Oise, the Conseil régional de Picardie and the French government. The project also received co-funding from the European Union.
