Practical information

Godart Wood

Godart Wood, with its vineyards, is an ideal spot for a family walk or picnic. Overlooking the town, it offers a breathtaking view of the whole area. It can be reached via avenue Anatole France or rue Romain Rolland.

Redeveloped in 2015 as part of the Urban Renewal Programme (PRU), Godart Wood pays tribute to its wine-growing past by now being home to 510 vines tended by the Vignerons du Bois Godart association. Anyone interested can join the association. The wine is 100% organic, with no chemical fertilisers or treatments. A harvest is organised every year at the end of the summer. The local council provides a fully-equipped winery to vinify the harvest.

One of our rosé wines won the Hauts-de-France "Coup de cœur" award at the 2018 Gouvieux winegrowers' fair!
