Electoral roll registration

To take part in the elections, you must be registered on the electoral roll. Registration is automatic for 18-year-olds (subject to certain conditions) and for people who acquire French nationality after 2018. If you find yourself in a different situation (moving house, recovering the right to vote, European citizen residing in France, etc.), you must apply to the electoral office. how to register.

Primovotant

Young French voters who have taken their civic census at the age of 16 are automatically entered on the electoral roll of the commune where they have done so. In Montataire, a ceremony is being organised to raise awareness of the importance of voting and to give them their electoral card. 

Power of attorney

Voting by proxy allows a voter who is absent or unable to attend on election day to be represented by another voter registered in a French commune. You can do this online but also face-to-face
