Preliminary Declaration (DP)

All work that alters the external appearance of a building or its surroundings is subject to the submission of a preliminary works declaration.

I need to submit a preliminary works declaration if I wish to :

Create a floor area greater than 5 m² but less than or equal to 20 m²,
To extend an existing building by between 20 and 40 m²,
Change the use of the premises without altering the facades (otherwise I have to follow the planning permission procedure),
Building or modifying a fence,
Modifying the external appearance of a building (façades, roofing, windows, etc.)

Deadlines

The processing time is 1 month2 months if the Architecte des Bâtiments de France (ABF) is consulted.
