Planning Certificate (CU)

The information CU is notified to the applicant by registered letter, simple letter or electronically. It takes the form of a decree. It contains the following information:

  • Planning rules applicable to the plot
  • Administrative restrictions on property rights (servitudes: charges imposed on one property for the benefit of another (e.g. a right of way) of public utility, protection zone within the perimeter of a historic monument)
  • Location in an area subject to right of pre-emption: Right given to a person to buy a property in priority to any other if the owner wishes to sell it.
  • Located on a listed former industrial site
  • Planning taxes and contributions

The CU may be requested by the owner or by any person interested in the land.

It should be noted that when the authorities issue a planning certificate to a third party, they do not notify the owner.

Deadlines

The processing period is 1 month from the date of submission and is valid for 18 months. 

The CU guarantees the stability of all the information it provides.
