Planning permission (PC)

Planning permission is a form of planning permission that you must obtain before erecting a building or carrying out certain work on an existing structure.
Planning permission is issued by the town hall. First of all, you need to find out from your local council whether your project is located in a protected area, i.e. in the vicinity of outstanding heritage sites, historic monuments, listed sites, nature reserves, etc. Please refer to the "Monuments historiques" tab.

Deadlines

The processing time is 2 months from filing date and 3 months if the Architecte des Bâtiments de France is consulted.

What do I do once my permit has been granted?

Make your site opening declaration (DOC), which must be sent to the Town Hall BEFORE STARTING ANY WORK !

ATTENTION
Within 2 months of the date of the decision, you must post it so that it is visible from the outside for the duration of the worksite, so that local residents can read it and challenge the authorisation.

Good to know

From the date of receipt of your licence, you have 3 years to start the work. If you have already started work but the interruption exceeds 1 year, the permit is deemed to have expired.
