Let's learn together how to sort our waste

The town of Montataire, in partnership with SA HLM de l'Oise, is organising a afternoon to raise awareness of waste management the Wednesday 24 September 2025at the Colonel Fabien residence.

Why this action?

Despite the recent renovation of the buildings on rue Colonel Fabien, waste management remains a daily challenge. Damaged rubbish bins, unauthorised dumping of bulky items, bags abandoned in public spaces: such behaviour is detrimental to the quality of life and image of the district.
That's why the City and its partners are working to help residents adopt good sorting habits and respect common spaces.

The afternoon programme

From 2pm to 4pm :

• Door-to-door distribution of reusable shopping bags
• Samji workshop (creative and participative)

From 4pm to 6pm :

• Educational workshop on selective sorting
• Stand for creating your waste collection centre card
• Mobile recycling centre
• Exhibition and awareness-raising events
• Information stand on the use of bio-buckets
• Samji workshop
• Snack hosted by SA HLM de l'Oise

What happens next?

The action will continue with :

• Accompanied bulky goods collectionthe Tuesday 14 Octoberin the car park at 38 rue Colonel Fabien.
• A visit to the sorting centrethe Wednesday 22 Octoberfrom 10am to 12pm, with transport provided by SA HLM de l'Oise.
