World Music and Dance Festival

Le Ascension Thursday, 14 MayMontataire vibrates to the rhythm of world cultures! From 8am to 10pm, From the Martinets district, through the town centre, to the Marcel Coene stadium, the town is transformed into a veritable crossroads of traditions and festivities!

The Parade

A time for sharing, rhythms and cultures from all over the world! Come and celebrate diversity, music and joie de vivre in Montataire!

The flea market and second-hand goods

From early in the morning, wander around Montataire town centre looking for bargains. You're sure to find a treasure trove!

The flea market

The flea market is organised by the association Montataire Basket-Ball. It covers the Place de la Mairie, Rue de la République and Parc Marcel Cachin.

Registration takes place on Fridays 17, 24 and Thursday 30 April from 6pm to 7.30pm and on Saturdays 2 and 9 May from 10.30am to 12pm at the Marcel Coene sports hall, avenue Guy Môquet.

Please note: no pitches can be reserved on the day!

  • Outside 5.50 per linear metre

The village of associations

Visit the village of associations at Marcel Coene stadium from 11am to 7pm.

Some associations will be setting up stands from 11 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. :

You can attend the following performances from 1pm on a small stage in the heart of the village.

Catering

You can eat in. Stalls will be set up by associations to sell you snacks. non-stop until 7pm.

The Hip-Hop Festival

Stay put or join us from 7pm at the Marcel Coene stadium for an exceptional evening that will close the Festival Danses et Musiques du Monde with a major hip-hop festival !

Access will be via entrance B.

The headliner

Les Enfants Sauvages - An explosive duo made up of Caterina and Yanis. Together, they mix genres to deliver a vibrant performance, where the acrobatic movements of breakdance meet the effervescent energy of dance. Colombian Caleña Salsa.

The band will close the festival.

Practical information

Traffic

Traffic will be disrupted during the parade (see the parade route at the top of the page).

Rue de la République (from the Mairie to Parc Marcel Cachin) and Place Auguste Génie will be closed to traffic.

Parking

The town of Montataire provides several car parks (Ambroise Croizat, Palace) where you can park. All city car parks are free of charge.
