A project to serve local residents

This esplanade, which is greener and more open, has been designed as a space for accessible, friendly and pleasant. The developments include planted areas, redesigned parking facilities, cultural, leisure and meeting facilities, while improving safety.

As part of the NPRU and PRU

The redevelopment work is part of the New National Urban Renewal Programme (NPNRU) and the Urban Renewal Programme (PRU).
The aim of these national and local schemes is to transform neighbourhoods over the long term, by improving the living environment, promoting social diversity, developing the housing supply and supporting economic activity.
For Les Martinets, this means major investment, a focus on mobility, the creation of high-quality public spaces and the direct involvement of residents at every stage.

A joint project

Since the project was launched, residents have been able to share their opinions and proposals at a number of consultation events. This ongoing dialogue has guided the design choices made to ensure that the new esplanade truly reflects the expectations of the neighbourhood.
