Commemoration - Creation of the CNR

The town of Montataire invites you to take part in the 82nd anniversary commemoration ceremony^e anniversary of the creation of the National Council of the Resistance (CNR), the Tuesday 27 May 2025 at 11am, rue du Conseil National de la Résistance.

Created on 27 May 1943, under the impetus of Jean Moulin, The CNR unified the main domestic Resistance movements under the German occupation. It played a central role in coordinating the fight against the Nazi enemy and in preparing for the post-war period.

This commemoration is an opportunity to remember together and to pass on to younger generations the importance of these commitments to democracy and fundamental rights.
