The town of Montataire invites you to take part in the ceremony to commemorate 81e anniversary of the Liberation of Montatairethe Sunday 31 August 2025 at 10.30am, opposite the Edmond Léveillé school group.
On 31 August 1944, Montataire regained its freedom after four years of German occupation. This historic day was marked by the entry of Allied troops into the town, supported by the courageous actions of the local Resistance. Every year, the town council pays tribute to those who fought for freedom, so that present generations never forget the price of peace.

10h30 :
- Rally in front of Edmond Léveillé school
- Parade to the Monument aux Morts (Place de la mairie)
- Laying of wreaths, speeches, minute's silence, La Marseillaise
11h00 :
- Resumption of the parade to the monument to the Deported (rue des Déportés)
- Laying of wreaths, speeches, minute's silence, La Marseillaise
The ceremony will conclude with a convivial moment over an aperitif. wine reception offered to the salle de la Libération.
