Building Geeks

The town of Montataire is hosting a new session of the Building GeeksThis is an original scheme that allows people to discover the building trades and build a real career plan.

An information meeting in Montataire

📍 Salle de la Libération (under the Palace8 bis rue des Déportés, Montataire)

This meeting is aimed primarily at young people and RSA recipients from Montataire interested in training in the building sector.

Short, practical training courses

In just 3 months, participants learn the basics of second work (plasterboard, electricity, plumbing, joinery, finishing, etc.) through hands-on learning, supervised by professionals.

Strengths of the course :

  • A limited number of candidates (12 to 14 per session) for better support;
  • meetings with professionals and recruiters (job datings);
  • an apprenticeship in a technical centre in the heart of the district ;
  • follow-up through to employment.

And after the course?

  • 55 % of participants go on to specialise in apprenticeships;
  • 45 % have direct access to employment (fixed-term, permanent or temporary).
