Sustainable development week

Montataire is committed to the planet! To mark Sustainable Development Week, the town is offering a rich and varied programme for schools, the general public and municipal staff from 3 to 6 June 2025.

Highlights for the general public - Thursday 5 June at the Coulée verte

In the morning, huge cleansing the green corridor with the Pères de l' groupEHH and city wardens.

From 4.30pm to 7pmYoung and old are invited to discover a wide range of stands and events focusing on major environmental issues:

• Exchanges for a world of solidarity
• Exhibition on food waste
• Educational stands around bio-waste with ACSO
• CERDD Ambassadors present to raise awareness of the ecological transition

Activities for schoolchildren

On Tuesday 3 June, 828 pupils will take part in an exceptional day in the Priory Park, with the following programme:

• Educational outings to the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and the methaniser
• Workshops run by the NFB, the recycling centre, a beekeeper, ACSO, etc.
• Waste collection, eco-mobility games and much more.

Municipal employees are also committed

A number of in-house initiatives are planned for Friday 6 June to raise awareness among municipal staff:

• Visit to the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP)
• Visit to the communal apiary
