On the occasion of its 80 years old<\/strong>, the association Women in Solidarity<\/a><\/strong> is organising a major initiative on Saturday 6 December 2025<\/strong>, in the main hall of the space Elsa Triolet<\/strong>, from 15h<\/strong>. A momentous occasion, open to all, to celebrate a heritage of struggle, solidarity and action in favour of women's rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A lively debate on women's right to vote<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A key figure in the National Collective of Femmes Solidaires, Soad Baba Aissa<\/strong> will host a debate on a key topic: women's right to vote<\/strong>, a major achievement and a symbol of equal citizenship. This discussion will provide an opportunity to revisit the past, assess how far we have come and question the issues that are still relevant today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An artistic collaboration with young girls from the Departmental Centre for Children and Families<\/strong> (CDEF)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Music will also be at the heart of the event. Virginie Brantrand<\/strong>, accompanied by her band La Rue AcoustiK\u2019<\/strong>, She will be giving a committed and sensitive performance. She is also leading an educational project with a group of young girls from the Senlis CDEF <\/strong>. Together, they are preparing an interpretation of \u00abThe Women's Anthem\u00bb<\/strong>, which they will present at the initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exhibitions: memory and militant archives<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To celebrate this symbolic anniversary, a number of exhibitions will be on show:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • An exhibition on loan from the French Communist Party<\/strong>, dedicated to women's rights.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Panels specially produced by Femmes Solidaires tracing the history of the women's right to vote<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The 22 Heures Claires calendars<\/strong>, from the former\u2019Union of French Women<\/strong> (which became Femmes Solidaires in 1945), exhibited together to mark the association's 80th anniversary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    About Femmes Solidaires<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    For 80 years, the association has been informing and raising awareness of women's rights, with the aim of changing mentalities towards a society free of relations of domination. It defends fundamental values: secularism, co-education, equality, peace and freedom<\/strong>.
    A solid commitment at the heart of social and civic life.<\/p>\n\n\n

    In addition to its public actions, Femmes Solidaires provides a listening service<\/strong> to provide information, advice, guidance and support for women.
