For the European Heritage Days<\/strong>the City of Montataire and the remembrance and heritage associations<\/strong> are joining forces to bring you a rich and varied programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The theme of the 2025 edition will be :
\"Tell me about a castle... from the Middle Ages to the present day!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Castles, witnesses to the past, continue to arouse our curiosity and feed our collective history. Over the weekend, the Ch\u00e2teau de Montataire<\/strong>the Collegiate church of Notre-Dame<\/strong> and the Petit Ch\u00e2teau Khardys<\/strong> will be opening their doors to help you discover how history has met modern times, through places, people and traditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visits to Ch\u00e2teau de Montataire<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Immerse yourself in history by visiting :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • the library<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • the weapons room<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • the guard room<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • the stable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Exhibitions and events at the Coll\u00e9giale Notre-Dame<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    • Exhibition of stained glass windows in the abbey church of Saint-Leu d'Esserent<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Draw me a castle\" exhibition with children's drawings and public vote<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Fashion from the Middle Ages to the present day<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Workshops for all:\n
        \n
      • manufacture of stained glass (paper) and mosaics<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • historic recipes<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • calligraphy and illumination<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • introduction to fencing and archery<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Visits to the Petit Ch\u00e2teau Khardys<\/strong> and Barn<\/strong> (Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 4pm).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Musical closing at 4.30pm<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        A concert byAMEM<\/strong> will conclude these two days at the Coll\u00e9giale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Reading sessions for younger children in the guards' room (with books available for family time throughout the weekend).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          These European Heritage Days are organised by by the town of Montataire and local remembrance and heritage associations<\/strong>.
          It's a unique opportunity for families to share, learn and rediscover together the richness of our history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
