Practical information

Pierre Legrand Leisure Centre

The Loisirs Sans Hébergement (ALSH) Pierre Legrand childcare centre caters for children from nursery school to Year 9 outside school hours, offering activities on Wednesdays and during the school holidays.

ALSH party

With a teaching team made up of directors and activity leaders who hold the BAFA and/or CAP early childhood qualifications, this educational centre offers a variety of projects to help children flourish. During the holidays, the team is reinforced by seasonal workers. Nearly 390 children attend the centre and the teenagers' centre every summer, supervised by around forty professionals, some of whom have been trained under the BAFA scheme for young people, whose training is funded by the municipality in exchange for a month's work at the ALSH.

Price list

Thanks to a sliding scale of charges based on the family quotient, daily rates including meals will be from €2.42 to €10.54. In this way, the city aims to guarantee access to the facility for all children, regardless of their parents' income.

By devoting a significant proportion of its budget to summer activities, the municipality is giving young Montatairien the opportunity to travel around the region and discover new activities such as water sports and horse riding.

How do I register?

To ensure that children are looked after in the best possible way, daily bookings are compulsory and must be made at least 48 hours before the desired date. This rule also applies to changes and cancellations. Families must be registered with the childcare service in advance and make their bookings via theCitizen Space.

To guarantee safe, high-quality care, the number of places per age group is limited, which may make it impossible to book. In this case, residents can contact the children's centre on 03 44 64 45 80.

Learning holidays

As a complement to its summer programme, the Leisure Centre is offering revision courses for children from Grande Section (GS) to CM2, run by teachers from the French Education Nationale. The aim is not to replace school, but rather to enable children to consolidate their basic knowledge in a relaxing and fun environment.

How does a course work?

  • From Monday to Friday, on a full-day basis (staggered arrival between 8.30 and 9.30), the child and parent agree to attend the whole week (morning and afternoon).
  • Morning: 2 hours of revision taught by teachers from the French national education system.
  • Afternoon: sports and/or educational activities supervised by sports instructors and activity leaders.

Who is it for?

  • Children from GS to CM2.
  • Groups are limited to a maximum of 12 children.

What are the rates?

Invoicing is based on the ALSH rate established according to the family quotient. All weeks booked will be invoiced in full.

How do I register?

Registrations are taken from the first day of the summer holidays, directly at the leisure centre with the directors. You will need to choose one week as a priority and make options for a possible second week. Please note that registering for a course does not mean that you do not need to make a booking. Booking is compulsory in order to attend.
